Job summary

Lexington School is seeking a Teacher Assistant – 190 Days to support daily classroom activities and assist the lead teachers. The role includes small group instruction, material prep, attendance tasks, and after-school lab support in a dynamic, student-centered environment.

Qualifications require one of: WorkKeys Level 2 with 60 credit hours, a Bachelor's or an Associate's Degree (ParaPro knowledge may apply). This is a full-time, on-site position with a 190-day calendar.

Qualifications

• Candidates must meet one of three qualification options: WorkKeys Level 2 with 60 credit hours, or a Bachelor's Degree, or an associate's degree with ParaPro knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist in small group pupil instruction and tutor pupils at teacher's request.
• Help maintain classroom discipline and other functions as needed.
• Set up classroom and prepare materials for instructional units.
• Handle attendance reports and related clerical tasks.
• Assist with bulletin boards and displays.
• Operate standard school equipment (laminator, copier, audiovisual, etc.).
• Support after-school and academic assistance labs.
• Encourage proper student behavior per school policies.
