Qualifications

• Not less than a high school diploma or GED; diploma or transcript required upon employment.
• Associates Degree, or a minimum of 48 semester hours of higher level education, or pass a state-mandated equivalency test.
• At least one year of experience to provide service in the role; health and physical requirements met.

Responsibilities

• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning.
• Administer and record achievement and diagnostic tests as directed by the teacher.
• Operate and care for classroom equipment used for instruction.
• Distribute and collect workbooks and materials.
• Assist with supervision of students during drills, assemblies, field trips, and lunch periods.
• Check notebooks, correct papers, and supervise tests and makeup work.
• Follow safety rules and procedures for the job.
