Alhambra Elementary School District is seeking an ESS I at Sevilla Elementary School East in Phoenix, AZ. The role supports teachers and staff across classroom operations, with immediate start dated and a structured hourly wage.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 60 college credits or higher, or an approved academic assessment in reading, writing, and math, plus ability to restrain students. Salary ranges from $15.29 to $17.69 per hour.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years or more of study at an accredited institution of higher education (60 credit hours) or an associate’s or higher degree, or passing an assessment in reading/writing/math.
• Must have physical ability to restrain students.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the teacher with planned activities and instructional programs.
• Prepare instructional materials and operate audiovisual equipment and type educational materials.
• Record and file statistical data, grades, and reports.
• Maintain individual student records for each student.
• Track behavioral data and office referrals with positive reinforcement.
• Conduct individual and group instruction under teacher supervision.
• Participate in ongoing in-service training (Crisis Prevention Institute, de-escalation techniques, instructional strategies).
• Supervise students in classroom, lunchroom, and playground under certificated staff supervision.
• Participate in outdoor activities and assist in maintaining classroom discipline.
• Assist in the physical restraint of students when needed to prevent harm.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Formação académica

High school diploma or equivalent
