Job summary

Enid Public Schools at Waller Middle School in Enid, Oklahoma is seeking a Paraprofessional/Teacher Assistant to support classroom activities under the supervision of the principal.

Starting immediately, this 9-month, full-time role offers pay at $12 per hour with employee health insurance. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and 2 years of post-secondary education (or an equivalent credential), plus a demonstrated commitment to student safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years post-secondary education (48 hours) or an Associate's Degree or higher or state assessment (OGET) or ParaPro/Workkeys accepted.
• Evidence of or willingness to progress in instructional training opportunities.
• Substitute teaching or teaching assistance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist children in classrooms with instructional tasks.
• Assist with classroom management to maintain a safe learning environment.
• Follow safety and health procedures and school policies.
• Provide classroom coverage/support to ensure student safety.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information and professional conduct.
