Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate.
• Crisis Prevention Institute Training if required by campus.
• One year of successful experience with children.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to students under teacher direction, work with individuals or small groups.
• Assist in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Help administer and score objective tests and assignments.
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom.
• Assist with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
• Help the teacher keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
• Provide orientation and support to substitute teachers.
• Supervise students throughout the day including lunchroom, bus, and playground duties.
• Enforce district policies and assist with behavior management according to district policy.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Texas EAC (Educational Aide Certificate)

CPI Training (if required)

One year experience with children

Reading/writing/mathematics support

Effective communication
