Job summary

Applitrack is seeking an instructional aide in Billings, MT, to work under direct supervision of a certified staff member, assisting with students to meet instructional goals and freeing certified personnel from non-professional duties.

The role includes guiding students, reinforcing reading, language arts, math, and computer instruction; supporting classroom activities, preparing materials, assisting with assessments, and supervising lunch and study areas.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students in reading and math is preferred.
• Ability to work under supervision and follow written or oral instructions.
• No Child Left Behind Act eligibility through coursework or exam.

Responsibilities

• Assist and guide students to reinforce reading, language arts, mathematics, computer instruction.
• Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce basic learning.
• Assist professional staff with administration and correction of tests and assessments.
• Aid in classroom prep and reinforcement of instructional materials per student needs.
• Support record-keeping and classroom safety; supervise lunch, bus, and study areas.
• Accompany students on field trips and assist with parental contact as requested.
• Assist students with special needs and participate in IEP processes as needed.
• Follow safety rules and maintain confidentiality of information.
