Job summary

The Nassau County School District is seeking a Paraprofessional for Wildlight Elementary School in Yulee, FL. The position offers hourly pay and supports instructional activities under supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or two years of postsecondary study; or an Associate's degree or higher; or passed a rigorous exam proving knowledge to assist reading, writing, and math.
• Type at prescribed rate of speed.
• Computer proficiency required.
• Experience with students with special needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in preparing instructional materials and equipment.
• Assist the teacher in implementing classroom activities.
• Provide instructional assistance as planned or coordinated by the teacher or administrator.
• Provide student supervision as required by the teacher or administrator.
• Perform assigned clerical and bookkeeping duties.
• Compile required data and enter into the computer.
• Participate in training programs and in-service.
• Plan and organize instruction using guidelines set by the teacher or administrator.
• Maintain a clean and orderly environment for students.
