Job summary

SPLENDORA INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT seeks an Instructional Paraprofessional to assist certified staff with students in the classroom and contribute to curriculum development. You will reinforce core skills, supervise non-instructional activities, and help with materials and record-keeping.

You will work under supervision with individual or small groups, participate in IEP processes as needed, and help create a safe, inclusive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• College level coursework or completion as required by NFBA.
• Experience with special needs desirable.

Responsibilities

• Guide students to reinforce reading, language arts, math and computer instruction.
• Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assist in administration and correction of tests and assessments.
• Prepare instructional materials and reinforce skills per student needs.
• Maintain records documenting student learning and performance.
• Support classroom behavior management and safety.
