Job summary

Phoenix Union High School District is seeking an Instructional Assistant to support students under the guidance of the teacher or instructional leader. You will help prepare instructional materials, monitor student progress, and provide targeted tutoring as needed.

You will assist with lesson plans, maintain student records, and communicate effectively with staff and families while upholding confidentiality and professional standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; classroom experience preferred.
• Ability to assist with lesson plans and instructional materials.
• Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with students in a respectful manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide support services to implement the instructional plan as prescribed by the teacher or instructional leader.
• Monitor students during lessons and assist with homework and classwork.
• Assist teachers with preparing instructional materials and tests; record results.
• Maintain student folders and records; assist with data collection and reporting.
