The role includes tutoring, lesson prep, test administration, record-keeping, behavior support, and basic clerical duties. Applicants need a high school diploma or GED and 64 college hours or Paraeducator Exam completion. Starting date is immediate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED as required by Kentucky law; some experience with children in organized setting.
• Applicants must have at least 64 college hours or provide proof you have taken and passed the Paraeducator Exam.

Responsibilities

• Tutor individuals or small groups and monitor student progress.
• Participate on instructional teams including remediation teams.
• Prepare and organize lessons; administer and score tests per guidelines; assess English proficiency.
• Assist in administering diagnostic tests; record test information.
• Monitor and report student behavior and progress; help with classroom activities.
• Perform routine clerical duties; maintain attendance and classroom records; support teachers.
• Set up work areas, displays, AV equipment and supplies; assist with materials distribution.
• Assist in overseeing students; communicate with parents as needed; participate in meetings and training.
• Ensure health and safety of students following district policies; supervise lunchroom/playground.
• Attend in-service trainings and maintain regular attendance.
