The Learning Lamp in Johnstown, PA is hiring Construction Instructional Aides to support classrooms in line with local school district schedules. This part-time role offers benefits and a starting pay of $13.25 per hour, with opportunities for professional growth.

You will assist teachers, support diverse learners, help manage behavior, monitor students, support assessments and technology use, and keep a organized, welcoming learning space.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Willingness to pass required clearances and training for safety of children.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend and stop for long periods during an eight-hour day.
• Active, patient, empathetic approach to student learning and collaboration with staff.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to follow supervisor directions.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher in preparing instructional materials.
• Provide support during lessons, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
• Assist in managing student behavior and promoting a positive classroom culture.
• Monitor students during activities, transitions, and breaks.
• Assist in administering assessments and evaluations; help record performance data.
• Assist students with educational technology and digital tools.
• Communicate effectively with the teacher and share student progress.
• Help maintain an organized learning space and classroom displays.
• Participate in professional development to enhance instructional skills.
