Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking an Instructional Aide for Northside Preparatory Academy in Cincinnati, OH. This role supports teachers, promotes positive student behavior, and helps maintain a safe and respectful classroom climate.

You will assist with classroom activities, participate in school events, perform light clerical duties, and support the use of classroom technology. A Paraprofessional background and associate degree or coursework are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two years of college coursework, or passing the Paraprofessional’s Exam.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Ability to meet educational standards and work under pressure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Supports lessons taught by the teacher to individual students or groups and follows plans.
• Helps plan classroom activities and supports parent relations.
• Assists with school activities and chaperones events as needed.
• Performs clerical duties such as grading papers and making copies.
• Assists with classroom technology and maintains cleanliness of areas.
• Follows the school philosophy and mission in all activities.
• Other duties as assigned including field trips and duty responsibilities.
