ACCEL Schools is seeking an Instructional Aide for Cleveland Arts & Social Sciences Academy (CASSA) in Cleveland, Ohio. The role supports the teacher, promotes a positive classroom climate, and assists with activities, events, and clerical tasks.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree or related college coursework, or has passed the Paraprofessional Exam, and demonstrates proficiency in MS Office, effective communication, and the ability to handle confidential information while maintaining

Qualifications

• Associate degree, two years of college coursework, or passing the Paraprofessional Exam.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• BCI/FBI background check required.
• Ability to meet educational standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to manage confidential information.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Physical ability to lift 25–40 lbs.
• Experience in a school or social services setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support lessons taught by the teacher to individual students or groups.
• Help plan classroom activities and support teacher in student/parent relations.
• Assist with school activities, including events and committees.
• Perform clerical duties such as grading papers and making copies.
• Assist the Teacher in the use of classroom technology.
• Help maintain the cleanliness of classroom, lunchroom, and school areas.
• Uphold the school's philosophy and mission in activities.
• Other duties as assigned including field trips and dismissal duties.
