Job summary

Includ(Ed) seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our preschool team in San Diego. You will deliver direct OT in the classroom through individual and small‑group activities, embedded within the natural daily routines, and you will help children access, participate in, and enjoy learning moments.

Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to support participation, independence, social skills, self‑care, and play.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited OTA program.
• NBCOT certification and California licensure required.
• Experience in preschool or school-based OT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct OT in the classroom through individual and small-group activities.
• Support participation in classroom routines, play, learning activities, transitions, self-care, and social experiences.
• Provide push-in occupational therapy within the natural classroom environment.
• Collaborate with teachers and other therapists to integrate OT strategies into everyday classroom activities.
• Consult with classroom teams regarding student needs, participation, sensory regulation, fine motor development, self-help skills, and environmental supports.
• Provide strategies, modeling, and training to teachers and classroom staff to support children throughout the day.
• Help develop and implement classroom-based supports, adaptations, and accommodations that promote access and participation.
• Observe routines and identify opportunities to increase independence, engagement, and participation.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and student planning as needed.
• Communicate progress with supervising OT and maintain concise documentation.
