Description

The North Central Consortium School is currently accepting applications for a classroom associate. NCCS is a consortium of 28 member school districts, serving as an alternative setting for students in grades K-12, and is part of the Manson Northwest Webster Community School District. The school assists students who benefit from an environment providing additional support for social-emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs. We offer a high staff-to-student ratio and small class sizes to meet individual needs.

Job Summary

Assist students within the classroom setting to address behavioral and academic needs.

Primary Responsibilities

• Work with K-12 students with learning and social/emotional needs.
• Assist students with study skills.
• Help with emotional de-escalations and teach social skills.
• Keep accurate records of student progress.
• Provide accommodations and modifications as needed.
• Assist teachers with classroom duties.
• Be patient, flexible, and have good communication skills; work well in a team.
• Enhance academic performance using effective strategies.
• Implement classroom management strategies.
• Engage in professional growth opportunities.

Qualification Requirements

• Minimum: High School diploma or GED.
• Preferred: Paraeducator Certification and Sub Authorization or willingness to obtain.
