Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from an accredited two-year program preferred or Paraprofessional certificate.
• Two years of experience working in an urban school environment or managing a large group of students.
• Experience in urban school environment and ability to work with diverse students.

Responsibilities

• Assist class teacher in preparing lessons and teaching aids.
• Assist class teacher in monitoring the progress of the scholars.
• Assist with distribution tests and assignments.
• Attend to the needs of the scholars.
• Assist with progress reports and record keeping of scholars.
• Maintain attendance records with class teacher.
• Organize games and other extracurricular activities.
• Supervise pupils in the cafeteria or during field trips.
• Assist with grading tests and exams.
• Set up and operate audio-visual equipment.
