Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma Head Start program seeks an Assistant Teacher or Teacher's Aide to support learning and safety in a nurturing environment. Under supervision of the Lead Teacher you will assist with implementing weekly lesson plans and promote school readiness while following Head Start policies.
You will help maintain a clean classroom, communicate with parents, and assist with transportation duties as needed.
JOB SUMMARY: Assist Lead Teacher and/or Teacher's Aide as needed, including interactive supervision of outdoor and indoor areas in a way that children's safety can be easily monitored. Provide a warm, nurturing, safe and loving environment where self-concepts are enhanced, independence is encouraged, and individuality is respected. Assist with implementing learning experiences that advance the intellectual and physical development of children. Under the direct supervision of the Lead Teacher, responsible for the operation of the Head Start Classroom.
