Job summary

Prospera Consultoria seeks an Apprentice Classroom Assistant to support daily activities and lesson plans in our Oregon program. You will help teachers with materials, attendance, and behavior observations while ensuring a safe, engaging environment for children.

The role emphasizes PBIS principles, teamwork, and reliability, with opportunities for growth through hands-on training and parental engagement at Open House events.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an approved apprentice college required.
• Knowledge of child development preferred.
• Experience working with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Teacher and Assistant Teacher in daily classroom activities and schedules.
• Assist Teacher with evaluation of the daily lesson plan.
• Ensure class is equipped with materials and supplies.
• Input child behavior observation notes for individualization.
• Participate in Open House and class/center events.
• Use PBIS to direct and guide children.
• Attend bus monitor training and assist as bus monitor if needed.
• Maintain a neat, safe, clutter-free classroom.
• Provide child care at Family Gatherings if needed.
