Job description

Objective

To provide students with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient environment for learning, playing, and development.

Position Summary

Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitary conditions of schools and other facilities. Develops and promotes positive community relations among various community and school stakeholders.

Qualifications

1. High School diploma or equivalent
2. Effective communication skills
3. Ability to operate hand and power custodial and cleaning equipment, including snow blower, riding mower, and push mower
4. Ability to work collaboratively with supervisors and co-workers
5. Capable of lifting up to 100 lbs., frequently lifting up to 50 lbs.
6. Ability to work on stepladders and scaffolding
7. Capable of bending, squatting, standing, walking frequently
8. Capable of reaching, sitting, climbing, kneeling, crawling, and stooping occasionally
9. Ability to engage in periodic repetitive motion
