  • Screen and evaluate applications to identify qualified candidates.
  • Coordinate pre-employment requirements (drug screens, backgrounds, etc.).
  • Plan and attend job fairs and outreach activities to attract candidates.
  • Maintain regular applicant communication and ensure a positive candidate experience.
  • Produce recruitment materials and distribute them across channels.
  • Partner with community organizations and workforce agencies to expand candidate pools.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

B.A. degree or higher. Minimum of three years of recruitment experience preferred. A wide degree of creativity and personal organization; high level of communication and presentation skills; proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative; excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines; ability to exercise a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism to accomplish objectives; strong technology skills and knowledge of social media platforms; attention to detail; ability to build relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.

GOAL

Efficiently and effectively support key aspects of the School District’s classified talent management process. Assist in developing, improving and implementing mechanisms to effectively recruit, train and retain classified employees.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the development and implementation of initiatives to assist in recruiting, hiring and retaining effective classified employees.
  • Perform searches for qualified candidates according to relevant job criteria using a variety of recruitment sources.
  • Utilize social media accounts to increase public engagement and enhance recruitment strategies.
  • Assist in devising strategies to engage prospects and drive interest in applying to the District.
  • Respond to applicant inquiries and manage internal and external communications.
  • Collect and analyze data to inform decisions, adjust outreach strategies, support recommendations and prepare reports.
  • Manage candidate relationships from the initial point of contact to application completion.
  • Use recruitment tools to source talent and post jobs.
  • Assist in creating and facilitating engaging multi-media presentations to a variety of audiences.
  • Monitor number of qualified applicants in area(s) of functional responsibility and recommend recruitment action.
  • Develop and execute an onboarding process for all classified job families.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for classified employee recruitment, retention and employee experience.
  • Screen and evaluate classified employment applications to identify qualified candidates and support efficient hiring processes.
  • Coordinate and schedule pre-employment requirements, including drug screenings, physical examinations, background checks, and other district-mandated employment documentation.
  • Plan, coordinate, and attend job fairs, recruitment events, hiring expos, community outreach activities, and other workforce development initiatives to attract qualified candidates.
  • Maintain regular communication with applicants throughout the recruitment and hiring process, providing timely updates, answering questions, and ensuring a positive candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding.
  • Develop, produce, and distribute recruitment materials, including flyers, brochures, and promotional content, in strategic community locations and through various marketing channels to increase awareness of employment opportunities.
  • Build relationships with community organizations, businesses, workforce agencies, and other recruitment partners to expand candidate pools and enhance outreach efforts.
  • Solicit and analyze feedback, concerns, and suggestions from classified employees and prospective candidates to identify opportunities for improving recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and retention efforts.
  • Possess and maintain valid and appropriate license, certificate and/or credential as may be required for this position.
  • Follow work scheduling and attendance requirements in a regular, predictable and punctual manner.
  • Participate in the training programs to increase skills and proficiency related to assignment.
  • Review current developments, literature and technical source information related to job responsibilities.
  • Ensure adherence to good safety procedures.
  • Follow federal and state laws, as well as Board policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
