Founders Classical Academy of Fort Worth is hiring an Art Teacher to provide instruction in a democratic classical model with Core Knowledge curriculum. You will guide ResponsiveEd students toward intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth, while collaborating with parents to build competencies for success in society.

This role emphasizes virtue, rigorous academics, and classroom leadership. The position requires Texas teaching certification, a bachelor’s degree with relevant content

Qualifications

• Texas State Teacher’s Certification in subject to be taught.
• Bachelor’s degree with a passing score on an ExCET/TExES Exam in grade level or content area to be taught.
• Bachelor’s degree with an academic minor or major (minimum of 18 credit hours) in the core academic subject areas to be taught.
• Bachelor’s degree and documented successful, relevant work experience in the content area to be taught, established by at least one year of employment in a specific field or occupation that required the educator to demonstrate knowledge or skill in the content area.

Responsibilities

• Prepare effective lessons using classical traditional methods.
• Assign lessons and correct classwork and homework in a timely manner.
• Administer formative and summative assessments and report progress to parents.
• Provide academic interventions for struggling students.
• Maintain student grades and parent communication via online tools.
• Maintain classroom discipline and a conducive learning environment.
• Communicate with students and parents about progress and expectations.
• Participate in faculty meetings, conferences and trainings.
• Support special education accommodations in collaboration with teachers.
• Engage in student activities, advising, and recruiting efforts.
• Perform duties after hours as assigned.
• Adhere to school handbooks and procedures.
