Job summary

Watchpoint Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Class C Truck Driver in Milpitas, CA. You will safely operate vehicles up to 26 feet with a lift-gate, load and unload shipments, and verify documentation while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, clean DMV record, and the ability to pass a TSA/STA background check. Shift is Mon–Fri 12:00pm–8:30pm, with benefits including health, 401k, and vacation.

Qualifications

• A valid, continuously held driver’s license for the past three years, with clean DMV record acceptable by insurance
• Must be at least 25 years of age for insurance requirements
• Able to pass a U.S. TSA/STA background check
• Experience operating straight trucks, lift gates, pallet jacks and hand carts
• Basic use of computer systems and applications (TMS) as trained/required
• Shows up on time, follows instructions, acknowledges and corrects mistakes
• Communicates effectively and collaborates with team to meet goals
• Written and verbal communication is clear and organized

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles up to 26’ with a lift-gate
• Interact face to face with clients and provide a positive customer experience
• Carefully load and unload shipments at customer and vendor locations
• Verify shipments with customers for accuracy and obtain proper documentation
• Process appropriate paperwork for shipping, delivery, and receipt of merchandise
• Report and escalate issues as needed
• Utilize handheld device for routing and obtaining customer information
• Be an ambassador of excellent customer service
• Perform routine daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Perform warehouse operational duties as required
• Various other duties as assigned
