Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Class C Machinist to join our team. This is an entry-level to junior machining position, ideal for individuals with basic machining knowledge or recent technical training. A Class C Machinist is expected to assist with basic machine operations, learn from more experienced machinists, and develop skills necessary for advancement.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate basic machine tools under supervision, such as drill presses, saws, and manual lathes or mills
• Assist with loading/unloading parts in CNC machines
• Follow setup instructions and safety protocols closely
• Inspect simple parts using hand tools like calipers, rulers, and gauges
• Learn to read and interpret blueprints and machining documents
• Support senior machinists with setups and machine maintenance
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Participate in on-the-job training and development programs
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of or enrollment in a machining/technical training program preferred
• Basic understanding of machining processes and shop tools
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately
• Willingness to learn and develop machining skills
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  
  

Preferred Experience (Optional)

• 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or machining environment
• Familiarity with measuring tools and basic shop math
• Exposure to CNC equipment or machine shop environments
