Job Summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions is seeking Class B drivers with a passion for customer service and a safety-first mindset to join our team. The CDL B position involves operating a company vehicle to transfer freight safely and efficiently to various locations within specified times. Responsibilities include unloading, sorting, palletizing, reloading freight manually or with mechanical assistance, and completing all required paperwork according to regulations and company policies.

Essential Job Duties

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Deliver and/or pick up freight to/from customer locations and terminals as instructed
• Ensure all shipping documentation is ready for DOT inspection and accompanies shipments
• Load and unload freight onto and off company vehicles at customer sites and terminals, with or without mechanical aid depending on freight size

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Class B CDL
• At least 21 years old
• One year of commercial driving experience
• No DUI or DWI in the past 3 years
• No more than 3 traffic violations in the past 3 years
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or willingness to obtain (renewals reimbursable)

Physical Demands

• Ability to frequently enter and exit the cab of a commercial vehicle
• Ability to maneuver freight weighing up to 2,500 pounds onto a dolly or cart, with mechanical aid if needed
• Ability to carry freight weighing up to 40 pounds for up to 20 feet
• Ability to hook/unhook equipment, operate vehicle controls, and perform related tasks safely
