Job summary

Safety-Kleen in Louisville, KY, is seeking a Class B Vacuum Truck Route Driver to manage a route, operate a Vacuum Truck, and pick up industrial waste from automotive shops. You will transport to disposal sites while upholding health and safety as the top priority.

Responsibilities include visiting multiple sites daily, generating leads, and selling additional services. A strong customer service background and route-driven sales experience are valued; Hazmat/Tanker endorsements are preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL is required.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements preferred or obtained within 90 days.
• Ability to pass background check, drug test and physical.

Responsibilities

• Visit 10–12 customer sites per day and perform routine vacuum services.
• Operate a Vacuum Truck safely and in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries and pickups on time.
• Document and label all work; collect leads for additional products and services.
• Develop new accounts on the route and maintain customer satisfaction.

Safety-Kleen in Louisville, KY is seeking a Class B Vacuum Truck Route Driver (Vacuum Sales and Service Representative) to manage a route and operate a Vacuum Truck to pick up industrial waste from customers such as automotive repair shops and quick oil change businesses and transport to disposal sites.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner
• May visit 10-12 customer sites per day
• Manual labor on sites to completely fulfill customer needs
• Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pickups in a timely manner
• Complete all required documentation and labeling
• Generate / collect leads from customers for new products and services
• Sell additional products and services into existing accounts
• Actively prospect for new accounts in assigned route
• Primary account ownership in assigned route
• Ensure customer satisfaction at time of service
• Follow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rules
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirements
• Safely observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures
• Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned
  

Qualifications

Valid Class B CDL

• Obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days of employment
• Use of various mobile devices
• Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
• Perform physical functions per job requirements
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position
• Per OSHA's Respiratory Protection standard, 29 CFR 1910.34, employees in positions requiring respirators are required to meet facial hair standards.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Commercial driver experience
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsement
• Previous Hazmat experience
• Previous route driving experience
• Operate a manual transmission
• Business to business sales experience
• Strong customer service background
