Home Service Oil Co. is seeking a Warehouse Associate/Backup Driver to maintain a clean, organized warehouse and fill in as a part-time delivery driver as needed.

Responsibilities include receiving, loading, inventory control, blending fuel products, and delivering to customers with proper safety protocols. The role requires a valid Class B CDL, HazMat and Tanker endorsements, forklift certification, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receive deliveries and inspect goods for accuracy and damage.

• Pull, pack and stage delivery orders on time.
• Maintain inventory by counting, recording, and reconciling stock.
• Enter data into computer systems or warehouse software.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear PPE.
• Assist with special projects and cross-training.
• Operate delivery vehicles as needed for coverage during vacations or peak days.
• Comply with DOT regulations and company driving policies.
• Complete delivery documentation and report delays or issues promptly.
• Represent the company professionally at customer sites.

Position SummaryThe Warehouse Associate/Backup Driver is responsible for maintaining a neat, organized, and safe warehouse environment while also serving as a part-time, backup delivery driver as needed. This position primarily performs warehouse duties, including pulling orders, receiving shipments, inventory control, and blending fuel products, and will periodically operate company vehicles to complete customer deliveries during vacations, peak delivery days, or other coverage needs.This role requires flexibility, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, as the employee will work in both the warehouse and in a driving capacity handling regulated and hazardous materials.Warehouse ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Receive incoming deliveries and inspect goods for accuracy and damageLoad and unload trucks, palletized materials, and move inventory with hand trucks or forkliftBlend, mix, or repackage fuel drums and liquid products following safety protocolsPull, pack and stage delivery orders accurately and on timePerform general warehouse housekeeping, sweeping, organizing, and cleaningMaintain inventory control by counting, recording, and reconciling stock levelsEnter basic data into computer systems or warehouse softwareFollow all safety guidelines, wear required PPE, and adhere to company policiesCommunicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and delivery driver.Assist with special projects and cross-training as neededDriving & Delivery ResponsibilitiesOperate company delivery vehicles on a part-time or backup basis to support delivery needs during vacations, peak volume days, or other coverage requirements.Safely load, transport, and unload fuel products and other materials at customer locations.Follow all DOT regulations, company driving policies, and safety requirements.Complete required delivery documentation and communicate delivery issues or delays promptly.Represent the company professionally while interacting with customers and third-party personnel at delivery sites.Identify and report safety concerns, vehicle issues, or customer site challenges to supervisors.Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)High school diploma or equivalent preferredPrevious warehouse experience is a plusValid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)Hazardous Materials and Tanker endorsements requiredForklift certification (or the willingness and ability to obtain)Basic computer literacyStrong attention to detailGood communication skills (oral and written)Ability to follow safety rules and standard operating proceduresAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
