Job summary

Senior Resource Group in Austin, Texas, is seeking a driver to transport residents to scheduled activities and appointments. Applicants must have a valid Passenger Endorsed Class B state drivers’ license, a clean driving record, and a high school diploma or GED.

The ideal candidate should have first aid and CPR certification and be able to assist residents, ensuring their safety and comfort during trips. This position is primarily full-time but can also accommodate part-time needs.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid and applicable Passenger Endorsed Class B state drivers’ license and have a clean driving record.
• Must submit current copy of Department of Motor Vehicles Driving Record Report.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Drive a bus, minibus, or van to transport residents to and from scheduled group activities and individual resident appointments. This is a perfect job for a semi-retired individual. Helping our seniors with everyday tasks and errands is sincerely appreciated by our residents.

Essential Duties

• Drive vehicle to designated locations.
• Assist passengers into and out of vehicle.
• Secure passengers' wheelchairs, walkers and other equipment to restraining devices to stabilize equipment during trip.
• Clean and service vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid and applicable Passenger Endorsed Class B state drivers’ license and have a clean driving record. Must submit current copy of Department of Motor Vehicles Driving Record Report.
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training.
• First aid and CPR certification.
