Job summary

Daniels Health & Sharpsmart is seeking a dependable driver to safely collect, deliver, and store medical waste containers at customer sites in the South Salt Lake area. You will handle loading and unloading, maintain strong customer relationships, and operate a 26 ft box truck while adhering to DOT rules.

The role requires a valid DOT medical card, clean driving record, and proven punctuality with a focus on safety and on-time deliveries. Regular hours Monday–Friday with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Delivery experience with a 26 ft box truck
• Experience driving in roles requiring manual handling
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations
• Clean driving record
• Flexible, can-do attitude with strong customer focus
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections
• Confidence with Road Check level 1–3
• Proven longevity in past employment
• On-time delivery practices

Responsibilities

• Lifting up to 50 lbs regularly, 50–75 lbs occasionally
• Pushing/pulling 100–250 lbs as applicable to the role

What will your job involve?

• Safely collecting, delivering and storing our medical waste containers at customer locations
• Providing strong customer service and building positive customer relationships
• Operating vehicles in a safe manner (as large as 26 ft box truck)
• Completing deliveries to time schedule, and clearly communicating changes or challenges as they arise
• Loading and unloading | Prioritizing and organizing your truck per schedule and needs
• Managing a route per leaderships direction | delivering timely, efficient and effective service
• Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections
• Consistently lifting up to 50 lbs, with occasional lifting of 50-75 lbs
• Pushing/or pulling of 100-250 lbs, as applicable to the role

What are we looking for?

• Valid DOT medical card
• Delivery experience within a 26 foot box truck
• Driving within any industry where you have dealt with manual handling
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations
• Clean driving record
