Job summary

Daniels Health & Sharpsmart is seeking a dependable Class B Driver to support our healthcare routes around the Richmond, VA area. You will collect and transport medical waste and sharps containers, provide excellent customer service at healthcare facilities, and operate up to 26 ft box trucks on daytime routes.

This full-time role offers a 1st shift (5AM–3PM), benefits from day one, and a $28 per hour base pay with a $3k sign-on bonus ($1k after 30 days, $2k after 90 days).

Responsibilities

• Safely collecting, delivering and storing medical waste containers at customer locations.
• Providing strong customer service and building positive customer relationships.
• Operating vehicles up to 26 ft box trucks.
• Completing deliveries to schedule and communicating changes or challenges.
• Loading and unloading and organizing the truck per schedule.
• Managing a route per leadership direction for timely service.
• Complying with DOT regulations and conducting roadside inspections.
• Heavy lifting as required.

We're looking for a dependable, safety-minded Class B Driver to support our healthcare routes in the Richmond, VA area. What will your job involve?

• Safely collecting, delivering and storing our medical waste containers at customer locations
• Providing strong customer service and building positive customer relationships
• Operating vehicles in a safe manner (as large as 26 ft box trucks)
• Completing deliveries to time schedule, and clearly communicating changes or challenges as they arise
• Loading and unloading | Prioritizing and organizing your truck per schedule and needs
• Managing a route per leaderships direction | delivering timely, efficient and effective service
• Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections
• Heavy lifting!

What are we looking for?

• Class B license with a clean driving record and valid medical card
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations
• Clean driving record
• A flexible, can-do attitude with a strong customer focus
• Experience operating vehicles in a safe manner (as large as 26 ft box trucks)
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections
• Confident in a road check level 1 through level 3
• Proven longevity in past employment
• On time delivery practices
