Job summary

Daniels Health & Sharpsmart is seeking a dependable Class B Driver to support healthcare routes in the Richmond, VA area. You will safely collect and transport medical waste and sharps containers, delivering excellent customer service to hospitals and clinics.

This full-time daylight role offers a stable schedule (5AM–3PM), potential overtime, and a $28/hour base pay with a $3k sign-on bonus; hazmat endorsement eligible earns a higher rate. Training on DOT compliance and safety is provided.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Class B license with a clean driving record and a valid medical card.
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations.
• Flexible, customer-focused, safety-minded driver with longevity in past roles.
• Experience operating vehicles up to 26 ft box trucks and DOT compliance.

Responsibilities

• Safely collecting, delivering and storing medical waste containers at customer locations.
• Provide strong customer service and build positive relationships with healthcare facilities.
• Operate vehicles safely (up to 26 ft box trucks) and meet delivery schedules.
• Complete deliveries on time and communicate changes or challenges clearly.
• Load/unload and organize the truck per schedule; follow route directions.
• Manage route per leadership; ensure timely, efficient service.
• Comply with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections.
• Heavy lifting as needed.

This position is offering a $3k sign-on bonus for new hires. $1k paid after 30 days of employment and $2k paid after 90 days of employment!

What will your job involve?

• Safely collecting, delivering and storing our medical waste containers at customer locations
• Providing strong customer service and building positive customer relationships
• Operating vehicles in a safe manner (as large as 26 ft box trucks)
• Completing deliveries to time schedule, and clearly communicating changes or challenges as they arise
• Loading and unloading | Prioritizing and organizing your truck per schedule and needs
• Managing a route per leaderships direction | delivering timely, efficient and effective service
• Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections
• Heavy lifting!

What are we looking for?
