Job summary

Nabis is seeking a qualified Class B CDL Warehouse Driver to run pickup routes to brands and routes between Nabis hubs. Must have at least 2 years of reputable driving history and communicate professionally with dispatch and warehouse teams.

Competitive pay starts at $28 per hour, paid weekly, with full-time Medical/Dental/Vision benefits. You will drive from our Rochester hub, support ad hoc hauls to other NY locations, and work in a fast-growing cannabis startup culture.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL with at least 2 years driving experience.
• Airbrake endorsement required.
• Must be over 21 years old.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., bend, stretch and twist.
• DOT Clearinghouse compliance and random drug screening.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt.
• Cannabis industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive routes to and from Rochester hub to receive product from brands and support ad hoc hauls to other New York locations using medium fleet vehicles as needed.
• Demonstrate outstanding problem solving and time management abilities.
• Help maintain fleet vehicles by keeping them clean and ensuring they are empty and secure when returned; report maintenance needs.
• Perform regular safety inspections of equipment in line with SOPs and OSHA standards.
• Follow loading protocols and secure cargo with chains and binders, re-checking stability.
• Inspect trailers before and after loading, monitor air lines and jack positions, adjust as needed.
• Visit weigh stations to ensure loads meet state safety regulations and adjust loads as required by law.
• Assist in unloading cargo when sites are understaffed while preserving product quality.
• Adhere to traffic safety regulations and report unsafe conditions to supervisors.
• Use GPS for route information and communicate with supervisors via CB radio and cab computer.
• Notify loaders by phone if late for a scheduled drop-off or pickup in a professional manner.

The Role

Nabis is seeking a qualified Class B CDL Warehouse Driver to run pickup routes to brands as well as routes between Nabis hubs. This person must have at least 2 years of experience as a reputable, trustworthy driver and be able to communicate in a timely and professional manner with our Nabis dispatch and warehouse teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive routes to and from our Rochester hub to receive product from brands while supporting adhoc hauls to our other New York locations using medium fleet vehicles as needed
• Outstanding problem solving and time management abilities
• Help maintain fleet vehicles by keeping them clean and ensuring they are empty and secure when returned as well as flag any potential maintenance issues to our Fleet Management
• Perform regular safety inspections of equipment in keeping with company SOPs and OSHA standards
• Follow and maintain loading protocols, using chains and binders to secure cargo and re-checking their stability throughout trips
• Inspect trailers before and after loading, paying attention to status of air lines and jack positions and adjusting them as necessary
• Visit weigh stations before and after packing to ensure that loads meet state safety regulations, making alterations to loads when required by law
• Assist in unloading cargo when delivery sites are understaffed, maintaining product quality throughout conveyance
• Always adhere to traffic safety regulations, exercise caution in treacherous circumstances and report unsafe vehicle or road conditions to supervisors and highway authorities
• Use GPS to stay informed of route information, and communicate with supervisors and colleagues using CB radio and cab computer
• Communicate professionally with warehouses, including notifying loaders by phone if you will be late for a scheduled drop-off or pickup

Desired Qualifications

• Valid CDL with a least 2 years' occupational driving experience
• Must have airbrake endorsement
• Must be over the age of 21

• Must adhere to Clearinghouse regulations (DOT) and abide by random drug screenings as appointed
