Job summary

Nabis is seeking a qualified Class B CDL Warehouse Driver to run pickup routes to brands as well as routes between Nabis hubs. This position requires at least 2 years of driving experience and the ability to communicate with dispatch and warehouse teams in a timely, professional manner.

You will drive routes to Rochester hub and other New York locations, ensuring cargo safety and compliance with DOT regulations, while maintaining vehicle safety and readiness for operations across shifts.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL with at least 2 years of occupational driving experience.
• Airbrake endorsement required.
• Must be over 21 years of age.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., bend, stretch and twist.
• Must adhere to Clearinghouse regulations (DOT) and abide by random drug screenings.
• Must be able to welcome and learn new technologies quickly and effectively.
• Excellent judgement and work ethic.
• Problem solving and communications skills.
• Confidence behind the wheel and adaptability.
• Cannabis industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive routes to and from our Rochester hub to receive product from brands while supporting adhoc hauls to our other New York locations using medium fleet vehicles as needed.
• Outstanding problem solving and time management abilities.
• Help maintain fleet vehicles by keeping them clean and ensuring they are empty and secure when returned as well as flag any potential maintenance issues to our Fleet Management.
• Perform regular safety inspections of equipment in keeping with company SOPs and OSHA standards.
• Follow and maintain loading protocols, using chains and binders to secure cargo and re-checking their stability throughout trips.
• Inspect trailers before and after loading, paying attention to status of air lines and jack positions and adjusting them as necessary.
• Visit weigh stations before and after packing to ensure that loads meet state safety regulations, making alterations to loads when required by law.
• Assist in unloading cargo when delivery sites are understaffed, maintaining product quality throughout conveyance.
• Always adhere to traffic safety regulations, exercise caution in treacherous circumstances and report unsafe vehicle or road conditions to supervisors and highway authorities.
• Use GPS to stay informed of route information, and communicate with supervisors and colleagues using CB radio and cab computer.
• Communicate professionally with warehouses, including notifying loaders by phone if you will be late for a scheduled drop‑off or pickup.
