Performance Foodservice in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy‑duty trucks and trailers, under minimal supervision. You will ensure compliance with state and federal trucking regulations, document work orders, and participate in road call services as needed.
The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 2 years of repair experience, PMs, brakes, and electrical troubleshooting.
Monday - Friday, 1st shift, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Salary $25.00–$30.00 per hour based on experience and skill set. Free uniforms, safety boot allowance, and benefits starting Day 1 of employment.
Perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy‑duty trucks, trailers, reefer units, and converter dolly under minimal supervision. Ensure compliance with all state and federal trucking regulations. Communicate and interact with co‑workers professionally, addressing questions accurately and promptly. Technicians are responsible for documentation, completing work orders for repairs and parts used daily, and performing road call services as needed.
