Pacific Seafood in Mukilteo, WA is hiring a Class B Delivery Driver for a full-time role. You will transport perishable products, follow DOT regulations, ensure on-time deliveries, and maintain safety and accuracy in all duties.

Class B Delivery Driver

Compensation: $27.00 - $32.00 / hour

A Delivery Driver – Class B at Pacific Seafood is a key role on our Transportation team supporting efforts to ensure total customer satisfaction through complete and reliable delivery service. This position involves handling products carefully and delivering them in a timely manner to the correct destination and is ideal for someone who is reliable, safety conscious, and has strong organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Efficient Operations:
    • Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence and teamwork) and promote teamwork.
    • Ensure goods are loaded into trucks in a safe and logical order communicate needed changes to manager.
    • Ensure the load is properly secured.
    • Verify order to ensure correct products loaded and delivered.
    • Deliver orders to customers according to predetermined route delivery schedule. Communicate any needed routing changes to the manager.
    • Responsible for handling merchandise in a safe and efficient manner.
    • Unload products from delivery truck and place product as the customer desires.
    • Provide efficient, accurate and productive service to the customer.
    • Perform backhauls, airport pickups, etc. as needed.
    • Ensure all necessary delivery paperwork is completed accurately and in full. Complete credit/debit documentation accurately.
    • Return all shipping documents, return product and credit documentation to designated area on completion of deliveries.
    • Maintain cleanliness of vehicle and report any maintenance problems to manager.
    • Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the company-customer relationship as it applies to the scope of the job function.
    • Address and/or communicate customer issues and requests promptly to the appropriate individuals to facilitate resolution.
    • Represent the company positively in all customer interactions.
    • Perform other duties, as assigned.
  2. Quality and Compliance:
    • Performs all required safety checks (i.e. pre/post trip) to insure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed.
    • Reports all safety issues and/or repairs required.
    • Follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
    • Knowledge of and adherence to all company, state and federal rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position.

What you bring to Pacific Seafood
Education and Experience
  • Required
    • High school diploma or GED
    • A minimum of one year of related experience in delivery and sales of perishable food products
    • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
    • Valid CDL Class B license
    • The ability to pass a road test
  • Preferred
    • Proven track record of succeeding in time-sensitive situations
    • Familiarity with local area, including streets, highways, and buildings
