Position Details:

• Location: Northlake, IL (Sutton Transport) terminal
• Pay: Starting at $26.58/hour, after 1 year $29.54/hour
• Hours: Monday-Friday, Dayshift

Position Summary:

Drive a straight truck between customer locations to deliver and pick up freight.

Essential Functions:

• Drive a commercial vehicle safely while handling freight.
• Load and unload truck, with or without assistance.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying freight.
• Secure freight using straps or other methods.
• Inspect vehicle for defects and safe operating conditions.
• Comply with all federal requirements, including hazardous materials transportation.
• Maintain records for compliance with regulations.
• Operate vehicle in all conditions following federal and company policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum age of 21.
• At least 1 year of verifiable Class B equipment experience.
• Pass a road test.
• Obtain and maintain Hazardous Material and Tanker endorsements.
• Possess only one valid CDL issued by the resident state.
• No DUI/OWI or Reckless Driving convictions in past 5 years.
• Maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
• Pass DOT physical and drug screening.
• Consent to background checks and provide work history.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math in English.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

• Physical tasks include lifting up to 100 pounds, standing, walking, climbing, reaching, grasping, and handling.
• Operate in various environmental conditions.
• Use senses such as vision, hearing, and smell for safety and operational purposes.
