Position: Full Time CDL Class B Driver at our Indianapolis, IN Terminal

Pay: Starting at $25.25/Hour, increasing to $28.50/Hour after one year

Hours: Monday-Friday, Dayshift

Position Summary

Drive a straight truck between customer locations to deliver and pick up freight.

Essential Functions

• Drive a commercial vehicle safely while transporting freight.
• Load and unload truck, with or without assistance, using appropriate freight handling equipment.
• Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying of freight.
• Secure freight through strapping or other methods.
• Inspect vehicle for defects and safe operating conditions.
• Comply with all federal requirements regarding hazardous materials.
• Drive within hours of service limitations, following regulations.
• Maintain required records, including driver’s logs.
• Follow company policies and all applicable regulations for safe vehicle operation.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum age of 21.
• At least 1 year of verifiable Class B equipment experience.
• Pass a road test administered by a Dohrn Transfer Driver Trainer.
• Possess or obtain Hazardous Material and Tanker endorsements.
• Valid CDL license issued by the resident state.
• No recent DUI/OWI or Reckless Driving convictions within 5 years.
• Maintain acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Pass DOT physical and drug screening.
• Consent to a 10-year work history check.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math in English.
• Employment is at-will; no employment guarantee implied.

Physical & Working Conditions

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 pounds.
• Sitting up to 10 hours/day, with frequent standing and walking.
• Occasional climbing, crouching, balancing, and kneeling.
• Frequent reaching, grasping, and handling.
• Use of vision, hearing, and smell for safety and operational purposes.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, dust, fumes, or chemicals.
