MacArthur Co. in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Class B CDL Truck Driver (Class A preferred) to deliver building materials to job sites, warehouses, and homes, with the perk of being home each evening and weekends. You will work with customers and teammates to guarantee on-time, safe deliveries and assist with stocking and order preparation.

A DOT pre-employment drug test is required; Hazmat is a plus. MacArthur Co.

Qualifications

• 1 year of prior commercial driving experience.
• Current Class B CDL license; Class A preferred.
• Able to pass a DOT pre-employment drug test.
• Hazmat certification is a plus.
• Maintain a clear FMCSA Clearinghouse record.
• Prior boom experience preferred.
• Knowledge of roofing, HVAC, and mechanical insulation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver building materials to industrial/commercial sites, warehouses, and residences safely and on time.
• Inspect trucks and secure loads; assist loading/unloading with customers and team.
• Perform DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections; ensure schedules are met.
• Help stock and prepare orders for distribution to customers.

As a CDL Driver, you will be responsible for delivering building materials to industrial and commercial job sites, warehouses, and residential homes accurately, safely, and on time. As a Driver for our company, you will have the opportunity to be home each evening and on weekends. You will work closely with customers, fellow team members, and supervisors to guarantee projects are completed to company standards. This position will also assist with the stocking & preparing of orders for distribution to a network of customers.

CDL Truck Driver Responsibilities:

• Ensure the accurate, safe, and on-time delivery of building materials (HVAC, Insulation, Roofing)
• Inspect trucks for order accuracy, comply with weight restrictions, and properly secure materials
• Work with customers and co-workers to facilitate the loading/unloading of trucks
• Perform DOT-required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Help coordinate deliveries and assist in maintaining inventory levels
• Ensure that delivery schedules are met while providing friendly and professional service
• Help load and unload trucks during any downtime.
• Efficiently & accurately organize building materials using a variety of equipment
• Banding, wrapping, or packaging material for shipping on commercial trucks & trailers
• Help to organize and clean the warehouse and yard work areas as needed

CDL Truck Driver Requirements:

• Acceptable driving record and a current Class B CDL license (Class A preferred)
• 1 year of prior commercial driving experience
• Able to pass a DOT pre-employment drug test
• Hazmat certification is a plus, but not required
• Maintain a clear FMSCA Clearinghouse record
