Job summary

MacArthur Co. is an employee-owned distributor delivering building materials nationwide. As a CDL Driver, you will safely deliver HVAC, insulation, and roofing materials to job sites, warehouses, and residences, with the opportunity to be home each evening and on weekends.

You will work with customers and teammates to ensure on-time, accurate deliveries and assist with stocking and order preparation for distribution. DOT pre-employment testing is required and Hazmat certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have acceptable driving record and a current Class B CDL license (Class A preferred)
• DOT pre-employment drug test required
• Hazmat certification is a plus but not required
• Must maintain a clear FMCSA Clearinghouse record
• Knowledge of roofing, HVAC, and mechanical insulation helpful

Responsibilities

• Deliver building materials to industrial and commercial sites, warehouses, and homes accurately and on time
• Inspect trucks for order accuracy, weight compliance, and securement of materials
• Assist customers and teammates with loading/unloading at delivery sites
• Coordinate deliveries and help maintain inventory levels
• Adhere to delivery schedules while providing friendly, professional service
• Assist in stocking and preparing orders for distribution network
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections as required
• Maintain clean and organized warehouse and yard areas

As a CDL Driver, you will be responsible for delivering building materials to industrial and commercial job sites, warehouses, and residential homes accurately, safely, and on time. As a Driver for our company, you will have the opportunity to be home each evening and on weekends. You will work closely with customers, fellow team members, and supervisors to guarantee projects are completed to company standards. This position will also assist with the stocking & preparing of orders for distribution to a network of customers.

CDL Truck Driver Responsibilities:

• Ensure the accurate, safe, and on-time delivery of building materials (HVAC, Insulation, Roofing)
• Inspect trucks for order accuracy, comply with weight restrictions, and properly secure materials
• Work with customers and co-workers to facilitate the loading/unloading of trucks
• Perform DOT-required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Help coordinate deliveries and assist in maintaining inventory levels
• Ensure that delivery schedules are met while providing friendly and professional service
• Help load and unload trucks during any downtime.
• Efficiently & accurately organize building materials using a variety of equipment
• Banding, wrapping, or packaging material for shipping on commercial trucks & trailers
• Help to organize and clean the warehouse and yard work areas as needed

CDL Truck Driver Requirements:

• Acceptable driving record and a current Class B CDL license (Class A preferred)
• 1 year of prior commercial driving experience
• Able to pass a DOT pre-employment drug test
• Hazmat certification is a plus, but not required
• Maintain a clear FMSCA Clearinghouse record
• Prior boom experience preferred
• Knowledge of roofing, HVAC, and mechanical insulation
