Job summary

CXI Trucking in Lansing, IL is seeking a Class B CDL Straight Truck driver. Earn $27.00/hour with a day shift and a 5-6 AM start. This full-time role offers home every night and every weekend, plus overtime opportunities and a benefits package.

Must be 23+, have CLASS B license, and be proficient with residential deliveries and liftgate operations. Applicants should be reliable, safety-minded, and able to read maps or use a GPS.

Qualifications

• Must be 23+ years old.
• Two years of experience driving Class C straight trucks.
• Valid CLASS B Driver's License and Medical Card.
• Clean MVR is a plus.
• No more than 1 at-fault (preventable) accident in the last year.
• Efficient with residential deliveries and liftgate.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicle safely at all times.
• Comply with pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Label, sign and handle shipments per CXI Trucking procedures.
• Verify loads and equipment are secured prior to transportation.
• Operate pallet jack and hand truck to assist in loading/unloading.
• Lift up to 75 lbs and navigate using maps/GPS.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate vehicle safely at all times

• Verify loads AND equipment are secured prior to transportation
• Operational knowledge of a pallet jack, two-wheel hand truck and lift-gate to assist in P & D operation
• Ability to lift 75 lbs safely
• Ability to effectively read maps or utilize a GPS unit
• Communicate in a clear, concise, and professional manner
