Job summary

Yarde Metals in Scarborough, ME is seeking a Class B CDL Driver to join our Fleet & Operations Team. The route focuses on 6–10 daily stops across Southern and Central Maine to deliver materials safely and on time, representing the company professionally.

Responsibilities include operating a commercial vehicle, loading and unloading, securing loads within weight limits, reporting maintenance needs, complying with DOT/FMCSA regulations, and keeping a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Valid, current Class B driver’s license and medical card required.
• Clean MVR.
• Must be able to operate an automatic transmission.
• Six months minimum driving experience preferred.
• Capable of meeting lifting and physical requirements.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial vehicle to deliver material with 6–10 stops daily around Southern and Central Maine.
• Load and unload material.
• Secure loads and ensure they are within weight limits.
• Verify material condition and quantities during loading/unloading.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs and issues with materials.
• Report overages, shortages, and damaged material.
• Tarp/untarp loads as required.
• Assist with delivery/pickup loading/unloading.
• Comply with DOT/FMCSA regulations.
• Maintain a clean driving record.
• Represent the company professionally.

Skills

Six months driving experience
