Job summary

Garden State Tile in Lancaster, PA is seeking a CDL Class B Driver/Delivery to safely operate a commercial vehicle, deliver product to customers, and provide concierge service.

Based at the Lancaster distribution center with routes to PA and surrounding areas, you will load/unload, navigate routes efficiently, and uphold safety standards while delivering to job sites and dealers.

Current schedule is five days a week, Monday through Friday, no weekends, home nightly.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class B license required.
• Safe driving record and ability to operate delivery vehicle.
• Experience with loading/unloading furniture and materials.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to customers in a safe, timely manner.
• Load and unload freight using forklifts or pallet jacks.

Job description

Garden State Tile is currently seeking an exceptional CDL Class B Driver/Delivery to join our TEAM! As a CDL Class B Driver/Delivery, you are safely and efficiently driving a commercial vehicle to transport product to ensure customer satisfaction and providing the highest level of concierge customer service to every client in a timely and accurate manner. You will unload and load freight off vehicle. Customer service skills are a must. Candidate must have a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License and valid Heath Card. Position is based out of our Lancaster Distribution Center and deliveries are in PA and surrounding areas.

**This is a Class B position**

Delivery Area: Pennsylvania, excluding Pittsburgh, Maryland excluding southern Maryland and shore points, and Washington DC area. Home base is the Lancaster facility. Delivery responsibility includes deliveries from our Lancaster facility 3 days a week and our Bethlehem facility 2 days weekly.

This position offers a competitive base hourly wage range of $24.00 to $26.00 per hour.

Garden State Tile’s facility is equipped with state of the art wireless warehouse technology uses Epicor Prophet 21 technology and is conveniently located in the heart of Amish country, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania . The 9,000 square foot wireless warehouse and 4,000 square foot design center provides quality ceramic, porcelain, glass and stone products to fill the needs of dealers, architects and designers in Central Pennsylvania.

Current scheduling for this position is 5 days a week Monday through Friday, No weekends, home every night.

Requirements

• Deliver material in a safe and sufficient manner.
• Driver will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks with appropriate equipment.
• Strong in running own route to make the most efficient delivery to customers, and/or job sites and vendors pickups.
• Comfortable using a forklift, reach truck and pallet jack.
• Assist in warehouse as needed.
• Willing to be flexible and have a TEAM attitude.
• Provide superior customer service during the delivery process.
• Be able to safely navigate issues that may occur during the delivery process.
• Obtain signatures on the BOL when making a delivery.
• Be diligent with pre-trip and pots-trip process and timely report any issues with vehicles.
• To go above and beyond in providing extreme concierge customer service to every client.
