PURPOSE

Responsible for driving delivery vehicles and/or operating truck-trailer combinations to transport and deliver materials to customer sites. Adheres to safety and compliance regulations, delivers undamaged goods on schedule, and provides professional service to customers. Drive vehicles weighing over 26,000 pounds and may tow trailers less than 10,000 pounds.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assist with loading and securing products inside delivery vehicles.
2. Deliver customer orders, maneuver vehicles into loading/unloading positions, and assist customers with unloading safely and accurately.
3. Verify order details, maintain logs of deliveries, and ensure order accuracy against invoices.
4. Act as a customer service liaison, handle concerns, and resolve issues.
5. Maintain cleanliness and safety checks of delivery vehicles.
6. Use handheld devices to ensure compliance with DVIR and HOS regulations.
7. Maintain hours of service logs and perform pre/post trip inspections.
8. Perform credit or product return pickups and related paperwork.
9. Operate forklifts or non-motorized equipment for loading and unloading.
10. Observe safety procedures, attend safety meetings, and suggest improvements.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role has no supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or GED, 21+ years old, valid Driver's License, Class B CDL, minimum 1 year delivery driving experience, 2 years preferred. Must pass MVR, obtain DOT medical card, and have basic math and measurement skills. Ability to read, speak English, and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 100 pounds frequently.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

Work is performed in a production environment with temperature variations, chemicals, noise, and dust. Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds frequently, and occasionally up to 200 pounds with assistance. Tasks may involve climbing, lifting, pushing, or kneeling. Must physically operate delivery vehicles.
