Job summary

ABC Supply in New York is seeking a licensed CDL Driver to safely deliver building materials and keep customers satisfied. You’ll be home nightly, perform load checks, document deliveries with photos, and work with the warehouse team to set materials at the job site.

Responsibilities include maintaining logs, following regulations, and delivering invoices on COD orders. Eligible candidates should have a CDL Class B and crane certification, with drug screening as part of pre-employment

Qualifications

• Valid CDL – Class B required.
• Ability to lift 75-100 pounds repeatedly.
• Pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens required.
• Knuckle boom truck experience preferred.
• Crane certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials safely while following the schedule and directives.
• Maintain a friendly, professional demeanor with customers.
• Document each delivery with photos using the company phone system.
• Perform load checks and secure materials per regulations.
• Coordinate with the Delivery Material Handler for set and unload.
• Complete logs and government paperwork accurately.
• Provide customer with invoices and collect on COD deliveries.
• May perform warehouse tasks as needed; no over-the-road travel.

Specific duties may include:

• Treating customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Conducting a safe work zone during each job site
• Adhering to assigned delivery schedule and following all job directives precisely
• Documenting every step of each delivery by taking and uploading photos with our camera phone system
• Completing a thorough load check on your truck before leaving the branch, ensuring that all delivery materials are firmly secured and all parts of your truck is in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
• Working in cooperation with the Delivery Material Handler to determine where to set the materials and unloading them
• Completing and filing all logs and required government paperwork in a precise and timely manner
• Providing the customer with an invoice on completion of each delivery and collecting the entire due amount on COD deliveries

Responsibilities may include warehouse work, including loading and unloading of materials on to or off of trucks or into warehouse as assigned. This position does not require over the road travel.

Specific qualifications include:

• Valid CDL – Class B
• The ability to lift 75-100 pounds repeatedly (your most common cargo will be 70 pound bundles of shingles)
• Pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens are required
• Knuckle boom truck experience is preferred
• Crane certification is required

Pay Rate Information:

$25-30/hr. Based on experience and qualifications.
