Job summary

ABC Supply is seeking a licensed CDL Driver to join our team in Danvers, MA. You will ensure safe deliveries from start to finish, document each step with photos, and work with the delivery team to position materials at customer sites.

The role emphasizes safety, on-time scheduling, and accuracy in logs and paperwork, with benefits including health coverage, 401(k), paid leave, and paid holidays. This position does not involve long-haul travel.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license required.
• Ability to lift 75-100 lbs repeatedly as part of daily duties.
• Pre-employment drug screening required; random screens also.
• Knuckle boom truck experience preferred; Hazmat endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Treat customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Maintain a safe work zone at each job site and follow directives.
• Adhere to delivery schedules and document each delivery with photos.
• Complete load checks before leaving the branch and ensure cargo is secured and compliant with regulations.
• Work with Delivery Material Handler to position materials and unload.
• Complete and file logs and government paperwork accurately and on time.
• Provide customer with an invoice on delivery and collect COD amounts when applicable.
• Possible warehouse duties including loading/unloading materials as assigned.
• Position does not require over-the-road travel.

Specific duties may include:

• Treating customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Conducting a safe work zone during each job site
• Adhering to assigned delivery schedule and following all job directives precisely
• Documenting every step of each delivery by taking and uploading photos with our camera phone system
• Completing a thorough load check on your truck before leaving the branch, ensuring that all delivery materials are firmly secured and all parts of your truck are in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
• Working in cooperation with the Delivery Material Handler to determine where to set the materials and unloading them
• Completing and filing all logs and required government paperwork in a precise and timely manner
• Providing the customer with an invoice on completion of each delivery and collecting the entire due amount on COD deliveries

Responsibilities may include warehouse work, including loading and unloading of materials on to or off of trucks or into warehouse as assigned

This position does not require over the road travel

Specific qualifications include:

• Valid CDL – Class A is required
• The ability to lift 75-100 pounds repeatedly (your most common cargo will be 70 pound bundles of shingles)
• Pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens are required
• Knuckle boom truck experience is preferred
• Hazmat endorsement is preferred
