Job summary

Universal Logistics is seeking a CLASS A Yard Switcher in the United States to move trailers within the yard and support fueling operations as required. The role features specific shifts and a $23/hour pay rate with benefits after probation.

The position requires a valid AL Class A CDL, minimal yard switcher or tractor/trailer experience, and a clean driving record. DOT medical card and background check are also required.

Qualifications

• Valid AL Class A CDL license required.
• 3 months yard switcher or 6 months tractor/trailer experience.
• No DUI/OWI in the last 5 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
• No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
• Current DOT Medical Card.
• Criminal Background Check required.

Responsibilities

• Operate yard switcher to move trailers within the yard.
• Adhere to safety and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with offsite fueling as needed.
