CustomGoods is seeking a Class A Yard Driver to safely position and maneuver trailers at the dock. The role includes yard goat operation, moving trailers, and backing into dock doors, with emphasis on safety and clear communication with supervision.

The position requires at least one year of driving experience, a valid Class A license, and adherence to FMCSA/DOT regulations. It is a safety sensitive role with physical job demands and pre-employment screenings.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year driving experience.
• Class A license required.
• Pre-employment screenings: physical, lift test, drug test, background check.
• This is a safety sensitive position.
• Must read and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Safety Program.
• Position trailers on the dock using a yard switcher tractor.
• Switch trailers as needed during the daily sort.
• Hook up sets of trailers for line hauls leaving the facility.
• Clearly communicate trailer moves and trailer numbers with supervisor.
• Perform any other task as deemed necessary by the organization.
• Observe FMCSA and DOT regulations to maintain compliance.
• Perform any other related task as deemed necessary by the organization.
