Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Tipp City, OH, is seeking a delivery driver to transport and deliver building materials to retail stores and job sites. You will operate a tractor-trailer, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and maintain accurate records while ensuring safety and customer service standards.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, 2 years of tractor-trailer experience including winter driving, flatbed experience, and a current Medical Card.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Acceptable accident and moving violation Motor Vehicle Record.
• 2 years of previous tractor-trailer driving experience including winter driving.
• 1 year of flatbed experience.
• Valid Medical Card.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention and care required to prevent injury to others.

Responsibilities

• Safely assist in the unloading of the product using a Moffett to customer’s location and/ or return products.
• Deliver material in “route truck/multi-drop” fashion to destinations in accordance with Federal regulations.
• Apply knowledge of commercial driving and skills in maneuvering vehicle at varying speed in difficult situations.
• Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations including driver logs, fuel purchases, mileage records, and other records required by law.
• Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all Federal, State, and local regulations for safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
• Able to answer questions regarding packing lists, invoices, packaging, and material content.
• Perform pre & post-trip inspections thoroughly.
• Maintain cleanliness and integrity of vehicle and equipment.
• Immediately report any necessary repairs and/or maintenance needed.
• Actively ensure compliance with DOT guidelines.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
