Job Summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions is seeking Class A drivers with a passion for customer service and a safety-first mindset to join our team. The CDL A position involves route delivery, operating a company vehicle to transfer freight safely and efficiently to specified locations by designated times. Responsibilities include unloading, sorting, palletizing, and reloading freight manually or with mechanical aid, and completing government and company paperwork.

Essential Job Duties

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Deliver and/or pick up freight to/from customer locations and terminals as instructed by dispatch or supervisor
• Ensure all shipping documentation is ready for DOT inspection and accompany shipments to delivery points
• Load and unload freight onto and off the vehicle at customer locations and terminals, with or without mechanical assistance depending on freight size

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• At least 21 years old
• One year of commercial driving experience
• No DUI/DWI in the past 3 years
• No more than 3 traffic violations in the past 3 years
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or willingness to obtain (renewals reimbursable)

Physical Demands

• Ability to frequently enter and exit the cab of a commercial vehicle
• Ability to maneuver freight/pallets weighing up to 2,500 pounds with mechanical aid
• Ability to carry freight weighing up to 40 pounds for up to 20 feet
• Ability to perform vehicle hooking/unhooking and operate vehicle components
