Job summary

Marko Metals is a Los Angeles-based full-service scrap metal and recycling company seeking a reliable Truck Driver to service Southern California. You will deliver and pick up bins and containers on a scheduled route, recording deliveries and pickups on customer shipping forms.

This on-site role requires a Valid Class A California driver license, bilingual communication (English/Spanish), and the ability to perform pre- and post-trip inspections while maintaining logs and customer relations.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A California driver license.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Physically capable of handling heavy equipment.
• Able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening.
• Two years of similar driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and document deficiencies.
• Listen to and resolve service inquiries and complaints from customers.
• Maintain vehicle appearance and keep it in a professional condition.
• Establish and maintain good customer relations and communicate with office staff.
• Maintain shipping order forms, truck logs, and other vehicle documents.
• Follow safety rules and report any accidents to management.
• Operate a pallet jack or warehouse equipment if needed.
• Work with customers on service needs and provide inventory support at client sites.

Marko Metals is a full-service scrap metal & recycling company located in Los Angeles, CA. We provide clients with scrap metal bins & containers to dispose of their scrap materials. We pride ourselves on providing the best service in our industry.

Driver would service clients in the Southern California area. Employees drive one of Marko Metals company owned roll-off trucks.

As a Marko Metals Truck Driver, you will be responsible for driving a vehicle loaded with bins and containers to deliver to customers on scheduled route. You will pick up empty bins or containers from customer sites, recording deliveries and pick-ups on customer specific shipping order forms. Your duties will include listening to and resolving service inquiries and complaints.

Other responsibilities of the role include:

• Performing pre & post trip vehicle inspections, documenting deficiencies
• Speaks both English and Spanish. Able to communicate to office and yard personnel any issues while in the field.
• Ensuring all safety items are in good working order
• Maintaining vehicle appearance (inside and out) in a professional manner
• Establishing and maintaining good customer relations
• Maintaining shipping order forms, truck logs, and all other vehicle documents
• Ensuring all safety rules are strictly observed and any accident reported to management
• Operating a pallet jack and other warehouse equipment if necessary
• Working with customers on needs and services required.
• Assisting with inventory at clients sites.

Employee Requirements:
