Job summary

Marko Metals Inc. is seeking a full-time Truck Driver to service customers across Southern California. The driver will operate a company roll-off truck, deliver and pickup bins/containers, and maintain shipping records on a scheduled route.

Requirements include a valid Class A California license, eligibility to work in the U.S., and the ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus for field communication.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up bins/containers on scheduled routes.
• Operate company roll-off trucks and use pallet jack when needed.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections with reporting of any deficiencies.
• Maintain shipping order forms and vehicle documentation accurately and on time.
• Resolve customer inquiries and service issues professionally in the field.

Job Description Marko Metals is a full-service scrap metal & recycling company located in Los Angeles, CA. We provide clients with scrap metal bins & containers to dispose of their scrap materials. We pride ourselves on providing the best service in our industry. Driver would service clients in the Southern California area. Employees drive one of Marko Metals company owned roll-off trucks. As a Marko Metals Truck Driver, you will be responsible for driving a vehicle loaded with bins and containers to deliver to customers on scheduled route. You will pick up empty bins or containers from customer sites, recording deliveries and pick-ups on customer specific shipping order forms. Your duties will include listening to and resolving service inquiries and complaints.

Other responsibilities of the role include:

• Performing pre & post trip vehicle inspections, documenting deficiencies
• Speaks both English and Spanish. Able to communicate to office and yard personnel any issues while in the field.
• Ensuring all safety items are in good working order
• Maintaining vehicle appearance (inside and out) in a professional manner
• Establishing and maintaining good customer relations
• Maintaining shipping order forms, truck logs, and all other vehicle documents
• Ensuring all safety rules are strictly observed and any accident reported to management
• Operating a pallet jack and other warehouse equipment if necessary
• Working with customers on needs and services required.
• Assisting with inventory at clients sites.

Employee Requirements:

• Valid Class A California driver license.
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Must be physically capable of managing heavy equipment.
• Be able to pass Pre-Employment physical/ Drug Screening check.
